susan, i would just do the meatballs and sauce in the slowcooker and then cook your spags in boiling water in less than ten minutes typically. i suppose if you're doing a different heavy noodle, they could go in the slowcooker, but spaghetti would be overdone in no time. |
I would if I could, but going thru the kitchen remodel and have no stove. I guess I could try cooking pasta in the microwave. I recently ran into a recipe where I think everything went into the crock pot at the same time. They did say it came out like canned spaghetti for kids, but what the heck. |
I haven't tried this, but this is one of the few I found in a google search that cooked the spaghetti in the crockpot and not seperately. http://www.food.com/recipe/crock-pot-sp ... lls-175071 |
Perfect, thank you. You do need to add water. Only 2 hours on high? Great! |

That recipe sounds pretty good for when you can't make it from scratch. |
Slobbery, muddy Glacier says, "I smell spaghetti cooking in the laundry room." It worked, a bit gummy but kids would love it. It wasn't Lean Cuisine for a change. Basil,tomato/Mozz salad made it all bearable. |
Glad it worked...but I LOVE the picture of your old girl Glacier!!! |
Thanks, but as soon as more sunlight comes, I need a new pix. She slept thru a rain overnight.......outside. She looks like a Newfoundland now, fast asleep in the hall. |
