| I added a column for everyone's screen names. Not sure about the rest of you, but I need all the help I can get in the remembering names department and this will help. I'm gonna stop at the park tonight and scope out the layout one more time to see how we stand with regards to grills. If the have them there, great; if not, I'll drag mine along. I'm already planning on bringing my 10'X20' carport style tent for shade and as many lawn chairs as I can round up. Vance |
| Head's up folks - for those who plan on attending and need a hotel room still, LaQuinta Inn will still be honoring our discount if you get your reservation made BY September 7th. That is this Wednesday. I know there are three that have already made reservations so there should still be six or seven rooms that were blocked off for us at a discounted rate. If you need info on the hotel, here it is: If you call the number below and tell them that you want a room for the Dayton Sheep-In, (pretty creative name, huh?), you'll get a $79 room $69, but you MUST call before Sept. 7. | Anything new on the Dayton Sheepie get together? I have not been on lately. My sister had emergency surgery last Sunday and is still in Sycamore Hospital near Dayton. I haven't had much sleep between school which included Open House this week and going to the hospital every evening. Things are getting better so it is time to think of fun things. Do we know yet what we need to bring? I am so tired I don't know if we already figured that out or not.  I will try again tomorrow sometime.  Maybe sleep will help me remember. At least that is a good excuse.  |
| Not really anything new... We're currently looking at a head count of 21 Sheepies!!! Not bad for a first-time event! Keep an eye on this thread for any updates. Hi all. Change in plans. Dale is not going to bowl on Friday night so we are coming up early. He said he would love to go to the cruise in if anyione else is interested. We took Carley to a car show on Saturday. We are trying to get her used to large crowds. We didn't get to stay long.  Our 47 Ford is not running right now so we can't bring it but Dale would love to see all of the cars.  If anyone wants to meet up with him to look at cars let us know.  |
It is me again. I just called and made reservations for Friday. It was the young mans 1st day on the job. He did not know what a confirmation number was and had to call his boss.  When we talked about bringing our OES he said if I had time could I please explain to him why a group of us were coming there. I told him about the Mum festival and he said " Are those a kind of flower?" I said yes and that we were meetind at the dog park with our dogs. He then asked if Friday was going to be an interesting evening at the Hotel. I assured him that anyone who was lucky enough to be "owned" by a Sheepie was a nice person but that we all like to have fun. I wonder if he will be working Friday night? See you soon |
| I know Val and Cindy are planning on spending Friday night in Tipp City, just don't know how late they plan on getting in. I can probably make it Friday night. I may or may not have a dog with me and I can almost bet Jen won't be there. Of course, all this could change in a heartbeat too... As we get closer, we can make plans to meet at a predetermined place. I'll stop in Tipp and get a photo of a building down town so we all know what to look for. As for that discount at the hotel, your reservation needed to be placed by Sept. 7th. If you get it now it will be a gift, take it. Vance |

| ATTENTION ATTENDEES!!!!!! Please PM me you cell phone numbers so we can keep in touch if something odd or out of line happens on the trips into Tipp City. I'll return your message with my Cell so you can contact me if needed. Once I get what looks like everyone's number, I'll send it anyone who is attending and requests it. If you don't want to be on that list but still want me to have you number, say so and I'll keep them separate, no biggie, I understand. Hotel dwellers: I'm going to call the Hotel today to see if they can arrange to have a Sheep-In sign up sheet at the front desk so each of you can see when the others arrive, know what room others are in so you can arrange meeting points and meals together. The weather is supposed to be partly cloudy and mid sixties so pack accordingly... More to come, so stay tuned. Vance |
| I checked with the hotel and they will have a sign-in sheet ready for those staying. You'll sign your name and room number so those coming in after you will know where you are. This will be kept behind the counter so you'll have to ask for it. Which brings me to something that made me smile. The woman who will be working Friday afternoon and into the early evening is named Ruby. She asked me to ask all who are staying to go to the front desk and ask for her as she'd like to meet all the Sheepies. It turns out that Ruby is quite a dog lover and especially big hairy dogs! So ask for Ruby and help make her day! Vance |

| To help out, here are directions from La Quinta Inn to Kyle Park: Driving directions to Thomas B Kyle Senior Memorial Park From La Quinta Inn which is on I75 for those who aren't staying at the hotel but are coming via I75. 1. Head south on Weller Dr toward W Main St 112 ft 2. Take the 1st left onto W Main St 0.7 mi 3. Turn right onto S Hyatt St 0.1 mi 4. Take the 2nd left onto W Broadway Ave 0.5 mi 5. Turn right onto S 1st St 0.5 mi 6. Destination will be on the left 0.4 mi For those who plan on going to the Cruise-In on Friday night, the shut down the entire downtown section of Main Street STARTING at the Main and 7th Street intersection. This is only one block from Hyatt Street There is a Dairy Queen there on the NW corner of Hyatt and Main. If you want to drive closer to downtown using the side streets, you can. I'll swing through Tipp City tonight and take a photo of a place that would be good to meet up at for the Cruise-In, including a place to park. Keep in mind that this grows bigger every year, so I'll shooting from the hip with regards to a good parking location.  Vance |
| Attention Friday night Cruise-In attendees!!! We should plan on meeting in the Tipp City United Methodist Church parking lot. This lot is actually on the main drag right in the middle of downtown. To get there, get off I75 @ the StRt 571 exit and head East. This is actually Main Street. Take this as far into town as far you can and find a parking spot. Then walk to the Church parking lot; it's on the right or South side of Main Street. Here is the Church's address: Tipp City United Methodist Church 8 West Main Street Tipp City, OH 45371 Ill be there around 5:30PM. Give me call on my cell as I'm thinking that those who will be there have my number. I'll be wearing a lime green shirt and a tan ball cap and I'll have at least one Sheepie with me, probably just Zoey. See some of you tomorrow night! Vance |
