Going back I found several references to the Andis 3/4in blades. Being totally addicted to ceramic knives, I thought I'd pay the extra for the ceramic blades (oh what a great choice ) Ripley looks great, but most important DH and I are both happy with how she looks. The advice about the blades was so right. Now I'm not as happy with the Andis Ultra Edge clippers. My breeder had recommended the Oster Turbo 5A. Ripley has a very thick (did I say thick) coat. Using them both at the same time with the same blades, even though the Oster was noisier, I felt it cut through Rip's coat better. Thought I'd add some pictures. No, neither Ripley nor I am into topnots. She won't keep the clips in and I get tired of looking for them when she takes them out. I like seeing her pretty eyes. |

I think you did a great job and she looks wonderful. That's the say I like to keep Butchy, he did get clipped a little more with all the hot weather but it will grow. |
Great job! Cindy |
Very nice!!! And give Ripley a big hug, she's a wonderful model! |
She looks lovely! You did a great job. |
You did an amazing job! She looks great..... I'm too lazy to attempt to leave that much coat if I'm shaving a dog. They get shaved right down and within a month it's about that length anyway LOL |
Stacey, thats the nice thing about the Andis 3/4 ceramic blade. It cuts as easily as a #10. Just shave away and you have a nice 3/4inch coat. Believe me, I'm wash and wear, when it comes to me or my furkids Dawn, one of these decades I might be half as good as you in grooming Ripley has a good stand stay, and DH wanted to practice with his new camera flash. I'm lucky, if I want pictures I just turn hubby lose with his toys Here was Ripley, with Brody (our last rescue) prior to her last clip- Pat |
What a sweet picture. I love the book end head tilts. |
I think you did a marvelous job!!! so cute!!!! I only wish I got such fine scissor/clipper skills! |
