After over fifteen hundred meals in this house... After four and a half months on ADHD meds.... After all sorts of patience and understanding from his uprights and his uppity big/little bro... After constant reassurance that what is his is his and he can count on it... Rudy Patootie (AKA Ruddock Einstein) has now, officially, eaten one full week's worth of meals at a leisurely pace. He has finally stopped wolfing it down as fast as possible, sucking extra kibble in through his nostrils if/as needed. In fact, he has been eating slower than Hudson (which means a Hudson mucking around by Rudy's bowl while he finishes...and Rudy's been very tolerant about that...he's never guarded, just inhaled.) We know this is not life changing stuff or anything, but for a dog with as many "quirks" as our Rudy we are very, very proud. Way to go Rudy. (The first two smilies are Rudy's Mommy and Daddy. The next is, of course, Rudy basking in his accomplishment, and the final one is the face Hudson makes at Rudy while he vainly hopes that Rudy will share his food...which he never offers to do.) |

Tracie, you should be very proud of your accomplishments with Rudy. I have followed Rudys post here on the forum from just after his adoption and then on his blog. Rudy's previous life was just such a sad story. Thanks for giving Rudy such a wonderful home............Kathy |
