Our little test with Caitlyn and the night light paid off, in spades!!! Last night around 11PM, we put her in her crate and turned off the one light that we typically leave on and she woke up at 5AM, a short 15 minutes before my alarm!!! She was dry and happy to see me and even more happy when I asked her if she wanted to go potty. With no hesitation, she ran to the door, darted down the two levels of the deck and proceeded to squat and squirt. She was a VEEEERRRRY good girl and got enough praise for a week. She knew she did good. So tonight, we'll see if we can back this theory up with two consecutive nights. Vance |

Yay for success - hope it is the new trend!! |
What a clever girl!! |
Hope it continues, sounds like she's learning well. |
So it's like three nights into no lights and things are going pretty well. Last night Caitlyn went to her crate around 10PM and woke up at 4:10AM. I think at almost 10 weeks old, that's pretty good and we're not complaining. It sure beats getting woken up every two hours. at least this way I'm not dozing off during meetings at work! Updates will come as needed. Vance |
