Simone was here in Mankato, MN for work for several years. She got Kye here and started training and trialing, then got sent back home for work. She of course took her 2 dogs with! |

WOW! That dog is super fast and awesome! Cindy |
Hmm, do you think that the tail gives a speed boost? |
Lovely runs..........Watching BC and Aussies in agility, I expect perfection. It is their sport, something for their manic personality. They were bred to work closely with their handlers. I'm more impressed when a difficult breed.....or just a nonherding breed....achieves perfection in agility. It is far harder work for the team. Maybe it doesn't come out as beautiful as an agile little herder, but I appreciate the achievement. I know one Great Pyr who competed. She wasn't fast and concentration was always an effort as the breed was bred to think independently, but she was often successful. |
Simone's previous dog is a little jack russell terrier mix - super indepedent but speedy when he chose to be! Kye is her 1st border collie - so she had to really speed up her game to keep up with this little girl! My friend Joni has Kye's sister - another awesome agility dog. Joni and Sport were at a USDAA trial this weekend, and they won steeplechase. And Joni runs on a prosthetic leg! They are just incredible. Sport and Kye are fast, but more importantly they are super tuned in to their humans and really care about being a team. They are a couple of the nicest BC's I have seen run for that reason. And these 2 are young - they are still not 3 yrs old and have been trialing just about a year now. |
wow dawn, thanks for sharing. no sheepie wigglebum is ever gonna get through those poles at that speed. |
Wow! Impressive. |
