I was just on the phone about this dog He does have a bite history....She said he has been nothing but sweet at the vets and with the staff.
Wow he looks like a sweetheart.

We're going there on Sat. It's almost a done deal, at least on our part :yay:
Woohoo for you and Ziggy!!!! :go:
Looking forward to hearing all about his antics and of course pictures too.
Sending positive thoughts all goes well!

:( Just spoke to the vet clinic, turns out Ziggy is not available for adoption anymore. He never was due to bite history. The ads at Craigslist and FB were never supposed to be published... :(

And my search goes on.
oh how sad
The saddest part is that quite often dogs get euthanized because the owners didn't know how to treat their dog properly and it turned aggressive.

Poor soul... :"(
Oh no! That is so sad! What does this mean? Are they going to euthanize him? He looks so cute in the video and what exactly does his bite history consist of? Maybe his previous owners were just bad people?
I spoke to the vet and pmed fairy godmother. Ziggy has a 3 bite history He bit once and went into rescue. He bit the new owner once on the hand and she was forgiving. The next time she bent down to pick something up and he grabbed her by the head with no warning. She required sutures. Sometimes dogs are bred wrong. They bite with no warning. There is an aggressive gene in there. These dogs can do serious harm. The fact is ziggy belongs to the rescue and the young lady posting all the emails and youtube and craigslist videos cannot place him.....The vet was very nice and said he has to stay in quarenteen for 10 days. This is a hard fact of rescue.... some dogs cannot be saved. I grieve for the loss of a dogs life but it is not our fault. The fault lies in the irresponsible breediing being done. There are thousands of nice dogs out there dying, they all are not sheepdogs, but it is a fact. Hopefully Fairy godmother will have a chance to adopt a wonderful sheepie.

Godspeed Ziggy
That is very sad

I have a dog that was returned to rescue for biting...I chose to keep him as a furever foster as I will not place him again.
That is just not doable in every case, like Cindy said, sadly they can't all be saved

Godspeed Ziggy :ghug:
I will be forever grateful to Cindy for helping me out. I am a novice, obviously, and for me the whole experience, as polarized as it was, was part of a learning process.

Yes, sometimes it is the breeder, as it apparelnty is in Ziggy's case. Either way, it's sad.

Bless you all, sweet people, taking OESs into rescue and making possible for those wonderful dogs to find permanent, loving home!
