Heat wave starts back tomorrow. Lisa Frankie and Mattie |

The only relief we are having here is less humidity. We have been trying to clean out the garage of the house we finally sold. It is so hot we only work there a short time and then come home and rest in the air conditioning. Carley runs out to potty and comes right back in where it is cool. |
Ugh... I'd love low humidity!!! We've got a storm brewing with a 80% chance of it developing into something more, so I'm sure that won't help us at all in the humidity dept. We do need some [not A LOT] of rain though. One of the models has it hitting houston, going to N. Louisiana (just what they need huh?), going back into the ocean and then heading right back at houston. NOT likely, but it has happened and since they're unpredictable ...it's always interesting. |
Lower humidity would be so nice. Tropical wave near the Yucatan channel continues to get better organized,if current trends continue a tropical depression could develop later today. 80% chance that this will turn into a tropical cyclone and move into the Gulf of Mexico. Hurricane hunter aircraft is scheduled to investigate this system later today. The temp in the gulf is 88 degrees and this will help fuel this system into either a tropical storm or a Cat 1 hurricane. Models at this point show anywhere from S Louisiana to Houston. Hoping it would stay over water and dissipate. Robin |
^^^ haha... you and I have the same thing on our minds |
Yep just the thought of a hurricane now, gets to me.All the prep and if bad enough the planning it takes to just leave New Orleans is a BIG pain in the butt.LOL! Yes we both have the same thing on our minds, maybe I will just plan a hurricane party, instead.Sounds like more fun! Robin |
They were saying on the weather earlier that most were hoping it came ashore as a tropical storm, as the need for rain was so great in the So Texas areas it is likely to hit. |
