So we finally get home, I pull into the garage, which is what I always do before I let the girls out, easier to control them. I rolled down the two front windows, so the van doesn't get too hot in the garage. I get out, go around the back, go up the side to let them out of the van. China was in the passenger seat and Asia and Violet were in the back. Usually, which ever dog is in the front seat goes into the back and comes out the sliding door. So I slide the slider door open and Violet/Asia come out, but China jumps out the passenger side window. She went running into the house. (garage is attached) all I could think about is the dog that jumped off the porch and fractured it's legs. So I went looking for China in the house and I found her going potty in the backyard. So I guess she had to go! China's legs are fine, thank God. I guess taking Agility really paid off. |

Glad to hear that her legs are okay What a good girl holding it all the way home!!!! |
So happy she is OK. They are very resilent. When I brought Clancy the Irishwolf pup home from spay, she could not wait for me to unlock the front gate: out the passenger window, over the 5' fence into the front yard......and a big pee! She was still a small pup, not that she ever became as tall as I had hoped. That was the only time she showed any interest in the fence! All the stitches were fine, BTW. |
Glad China was OK after her leap. But I want to know - is there really a fire, or a storm? |
yeah, still waiting.........fire, storm?? Build us up with suspense and then leave us hanging. |
Yes, there was a brush fire started by lightning. My house missed the storm, but Chuck and Aaron drove home in that storm. They said it was pretty bad. I was amazed at the lightning. Oh, China is doing great. China's mother, Angel could jump a 6 foot fence with ease, and used to jump the fence a lot when I lived next to Angel's owner. She would call me from work and ask if I could go out and round up Angel because she had gotten out again and a neighbor had called. I almost didn't adopt China for that reason...I thought if her mother loved to jump the fence and could, would I be getting myself into the same situation with Angel's daughter? This is only the second window China has jumped out of in 7 1/2 yrs, so I guess I've been lucky. I was just so surprised when she jumped out the window, there isn't much room between the van and the garbage can and closets. |
