Should I delete the Office 2007 programs? I skeered to. I am convinced the computer will delete the 2010 programs! (Word, Excel, Power Point and OneNote). And just in case someone is thinking "she should use Open Office" I do have that on my computer but I can't install Open Office at work. And Open Office will open Word documents, but not vice versa for work. *le sigh* |

Yes you should delete it. Office 2007 and 2010 should be two complete different items on your computer and there is no need for two. this is especially true is the 2007 version is just a trial. For comfort, since you purchased 2010 if something foes wrong, your can pop in your 2010 disc and "repair" your 2010 office. |
Loose the trial and keep the 2010 version. Make sure that you set your saving default to the Office 97-2003 version though. You'd be surprised how many, (even corporate types) still run Office 2003. This will save a lot of 'I can't open your file... can you resend it?'. If you want help with that, PM and I'll send you some instructions. Vance |
Microsoft office older versions came with microsoft photo editor which is still my favorite fast editor.... it will get deleted but you can download it separately and install it if it's something you use. |
