Treiball or K9 nose work. Maybe both. Any suggestions Lisa Frankie and Mattie |

I already saw your FB post, but I have the same answer! I would do the nosework. I know several OES people on both coasts who are doing it, and they are totally hooked, and just love doing it w/ their dogs. It requires the human and dog to really learn to read each other, and it builds teamwork. They have posted pics and videos - it looks like a lot of fun, with potential to progress in it as well. I wish it was offered by me...although maybe it's a good thing. How would I squeeze in another sport?? |
Ditto the nose work. That comes more naturally to a dog so their confidence should be built quickly. |
What is nose work? |
Sorry Kim I'm just re-reading this post. Nose work is Tracking. Laying a scent line on the ground and having the dog follow it with his nose. Search and rescue etc. Lisa Frankie and Mattie |
Oh that sounds so cool! |
