She stat with jumping in the bed and stare at you and breath heavy at you face , if that does not work she resource to the paw in the face approach and start pawing at you body and face, arms and everything else she can hit , then she start barking and barking and if for some miracle you are not awake by all this tricks she save the best for last ! She start pulling the covers out of you ! so she start a tag-a-war with you and the covers! Of course by then you are right awake and you start laughing so she jump in the bed again and give you good morning kisses. I like the game but not at 6 in the morning! hehehehe You got to love your sheppie |

Isn't it amazing how well trained they have us? Oliver starts 'talking' and will then get on the bed and sit on me. Makes you wonder how they think these antics up |
Too funny but I feel your pain,no pun intended. Most will outgrow this if you can ignore it and not get up.Forrest use to come and give gentle kisses and I would acknowledge his love but not get up.Now he waits till I get up before he showers me with his love and adoration. |
Sheepies are the best alarm clocks Our lives would be sooooo boring without their lovable antics. Way to go Tilly!!! Jenn |
Oh, your's lets you sleep till 6:00...my three start circling the bed at 5:00am and I try to get them to wait until at least 5:30....sleeping in would be 6:00. |
You can't resist her, I bet, no matter how early it is. |

They do know how to push our buttons!!!! |

Ryleigh doesnt have to get me up. My lab has that down. I can always tell when its 7AM, 3PM, and 6PM. Those are the times I feed them and Star lets me know usually 30 minutes before its about time to eat. A Lab can NEVER be fed late. |
I guess I need to open a "don't wake the uprights" class for our dogs. We let them out at night just before we go to bed. Since Banker (9 mo) has been able to hold it all night (3 mo), they get up when we do. On the rare occasions when they really need to go and can't wait, we let them out and back in, then go back to bed. In the summer, I am off. My husband gets up and lets them out for a few minutes. Then the dogs come in and go to sleep until I wake up. They are quick to let me know that they are starving whn I am up and moving. I guess the girls have trained Banker, but it has been this way as long as we've been married (in 2 weeks, that's 35 years). The old dogs training the new, maybe. And the cats are trained, too! |
Oh I wish I could get Molly to be an alarm clock! They say your animals can take on your traits... well, I'm definitely not a morning person. When I try to get them up to go out, both Bailey & Molly will yawn & stretch multiple times, sometimes even lay back down (as if to say, "5 more minutes Mom!"). It's like I'm trying to drag them out the door! Of course, once they wake up, they're ready & raring to go! |
