I just got my first OES. I was wondering if anyone has any ideas about removing tear/saliva stains. This may be a never ending battle as she obviously has a white face but was just wanting to see if there might be something that works. |

just realized this is in the wrong category - sorry about that. |
do you have a puppy or have you adopted an adult? I found that as adults, the tear staining didn't seem a problem as much as I've seen on photos of puppies. |
Tear stains/saliva stains can happen in young pups...especially if the mom was a licker! I have some litters that have them, some that do not. In my experience it will go away when the new hair grows in. This is assuming you have a pup you recently took home from the breeder and not an adult. |
Tear staining will grow out. Being so close to the eyes I would not apply any sort of product. My opinion. Robin |
Yes, if you have a puppy, don't worry about the tear stains. I know it looks ugly with those red marks around and under the eye...its just a puppy thing. Don't apply anything that close to the eye. It will clear up on its onw in a few weeks... Congrads on your new pup! |
My pup pup had tear stains and he is fine now! I just let them grow out and the trimmed it off... The breeder had his eyes checked and they were fine His eyes were also checked as soon as we got him and there were no issues. Beards can't help ya there! A couple of months later Yep, the beard is still dirt even now 3 years later |
