The bleeding lasted 25 days, near the end of the bleeding she had some vomiting (it cleared up within a day) then a few days later she was having diarrhea and the vet prescribed an antibiotic (Flagyl) and it has been clearing up nicely. Getting her in today I hope? |
Hopefully not pyrometria........just a common infection. Yeah, green is not a good sign. |
Sending good thoughts your way... Please keep us posted. Robin |
Hope everything is ok and it is just a simple infection. Sending white healing light and |
that all is well! |
Hope she gets better soon! |
The vet said Millie has an infection but not pyometria. She has prescribed an antibiotic and asked us to watch her closely. She could not predict if Millie would develop pyometria or not. I'm still a little worried but trying to remain positive. Thank you all for your thoughts and warm wishes. I will be sure to spoil her over the next few days. Jenn |
hope everything is ok, please keep us posted |
Hang in there and spoil her rotten. Did the vet give you anything to watch out for? You and your pretty girl are in my thoughts this evening. Sending a ton of wishes that the meds clear this up and she is back to herself, quickly! Robin |
The vet said to watch for a decrease in appetite and/or vomiting as well as a decrease in activity level. Can you all think of anything else I should be watching for or doing? So far she is eating well and quite playful. Thanks for all of the good vibes you are sending our way. They are felt and appreciated. Jenn |
Jenn she already sounds like she is feeling better. I would of course just watch for anymore green discharge and did the vet take her temp? Robin |
Robin her temp was 101.4 which the vet said was normal. She also did a swab of the vagina and found epithelial cells and bacteria but no white blood cells. She said the absence of white cells is a good sign. Jenn |
Sounds good then. Just keep an eye but it sounds like she is feeling better. Robin |
Poor Millie. Keep us posted on her progress. Harry sends her a hug. |
