| Interesting... just heard about it too. It was 1200 miles from anchorage, so I imagine they are, but I don't know if they were traveling or anything. |
| Holy crap, there have been a lot of 6+ temblors in the last day or two. That's a big one in Alaska. I'm fine, and I'm sure Liz is too! (Liz is infamous for not noticing earthquakes that send everyone else running for shelter   )We didn't even feel it! Where did you guys read this? Our local news hasn't got a thing about it!  If it was in Dutch, that would be kinda bad...the Aleutians are very vulnerable to tsunamis.  |
| Ok...I found a news story... All is well! The tiny little communities out there are all fine. There was no tsunami, but everyone went to high ground, and evidently it mostly turned into cheerful little outdoor parties  . | Gasp! For the first time I didn't watch the morning news today and just saw this post. I was so worried when clicking on the post. So glad everyone is safe! Very happy that communities weren't affected! You all take care. Marianne |
| I heard it on our news this morning here in Florida, but they didn't fill in with any info. I'm glad you're both ok. I know Alaska is a large state, but the report was not very informative. |
| Dutch Harbour-I actually know a place in Alaska, from that Deadliest Catch tv show. I am not a big 'reality' tv fan, but I love that show. I miss the ocean. I need to start job hunting in my home province. |
