hi guys

i've actually posted on here a couple of times now but never actually introduced myself as such. well i'm ema my husband is alan our kids are Domino (boxer), Islay (boxer) and Wicket (pomeranian) we're currently awaiting the arrival of our first old english who will be born mid July after posting, "male or femal" we're leaning towards a boy, (plus our puppies mum is far more teeny tiny than we expected lol and we'd like a slightly larger dog). we have both always loved old english and after researching for the last few months decided they're the right breed for our little family especially as we're trying for a baby (for four years :( ) we were having quite a bit of trouble finding a good breeder here in the uk but have had a huge amount of help and support from julianne (another user on here). we got more replies than we'd hoped for as to which sex to go for and love the community feel on the site. we've already been looking into which brushes you guys recommend. alan may post under my user name too, seems silly to sign up seperately. thanks for all the advice so far, no doubt we'll have more questions soon and we'll keep you all posted about our future puppy :)

Welcome Ema and Alan!

Hello, and welcome from West Virginia, USA! Congratulations on choosing an OES to join your fur family. We are boxer people also, and Charm loves a good boxer romp :hearts:

Welcome Ema and Alan from Florida USA! I'll be looking forward to seeing your beautiful sheepie once it arrives!
Welcome from St. Louis Missouri!! Can't wait to see picts of your new arrival..(when it arrives..  )
Welcome from Ottawa, Canada! My husband and I post on this forum separately, it can be a great place to work out marital disagreements, like the one we have been having for several months on whether to get a second sheepie! As to sheepies and boxers, Mady loves playing with the boxers she meets. I have always wondered if she just senses the inner playfulness of boxers. Looking forward to pictures of your furry baby when he/she arrives!
Welcome from a hopefully sheepie(in September)-- 2 boxer and 3 other canine home.

A breeder that we met, sadly her female was not pregnant, questioned our sanity when we mentioned boxers and sheepie together.
welcome from florida can't wait to see puppy pics

Seriously? Ours are a great mix. Now those little razor puppy teeth did damage to the boxers' necks and tender faces but never enough to warrant intervention. Now, it's perfectly fine that she's a bit older. Good luck.
lol our pomeranian preferred Islays lips, cheeks and ears to any of the toys or teething rings and nylabones so i'm sure she'll cope with a sheepie. domino is old and crotchety and will no doubt just ignore him/her but islay is the sweetest soppiest most playful dog i've ever met he/she will instantly be classed as a best friend, wicket will no doubt bully the poor little thing tho :)
Welcome! I think Alan needs his own "site". We love the "bickering" between husband and wife here. Having two differences of opinion is always fun, but would be difficult to follow under one sign-in. This way each can have their own, personal, signin name. Stud Muffin and Sweet Cakes would work
lol that made me giggle, unfortunately we very rarely argue alan is better trained and better behaved than the dogs

I agree . Especially about the sign in names
I wouldn't know anything about marital "bickering" on these forums. But it is very useful for gathering evidence for any potential future sheepie-custody cases!
Welcome! Glad you are and will be here with your new little furball!

Welcome Ema and Alan :D

Welcome in advance to your baby OES soon to join your family.

And while boxers are one breed NOT at our house (bassets, rat terrier, bluetick coonhound, lab and previously min pins), I do have a couple in my training classes and Chewie loves to boxer play w/ them.
Welcome Ema and Alan from Texas :D :D :D
