Love your avitar, love your Nigel~~~~~ :hearts: :hearts: :hearts:
I have watched them all so many times they are practically memorized...time for some fresh blood.
I know, I can't wait either. We're so close!
I am excited too!! Love that series!
What is it about? It sounds like a Gladiator title!
Me too... Bring on the fairies!! And Eric of course
I agree...Eric is soooo yummy :D

I can't wait!
It is eye candy for all. Vampires, werewolves, shape shifters, fairies...and witches this season. Eric is yummy!!!

Hot guys everywhere you look.
I have never watched it either. What's it about?
HBO series based on a series of books by Charlaine Harris. It is based in the state of Louisiana, in an area that my husband was born and raised. We watch it EVERY Sunday at our house. It is kinda neat to know where all the places are that they talk about.
As much as I am not normally a fan of vampire shows in general....

TRUE BLOOD ROCKS!!!

Let the bloodbath begin!!!

Laurie and Oscar
I wish I knew some people out my way who would go for a TrueBlood party. I would love to throw one.
True Blood marathon on HBO all day today!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Waiting sucks a little less today!!
Is anyone else a little disappointed in this season? I have read all of the books and this season is just so different with way to much time spent on witches and not enough on Sookie and ERIC's relationship. Jmo. But I would really love more of Eric the way he normally is, only now with Sookie, and not under a d*** spell!!!!
The witch war is inevitable if you have read all the books. I think you will see Eric as himself eventually, and still with Sookie...but maybe next season.
I have read all of the books, but maybe I should reread some of them as I am a bit fuzzy on the details of the witch war. I know their was one, but it didn't seem to happen the way it does on the show. :lmt:

What's up with King Bill? That does not happen in the books, remember Queen Sophie and the conference and the hotel bomb and Sookie saving people? Why is Lafayette not dead? He was not a medium in the books!

I get it, it's not gonna be just like the books. But when you change the story too much, then the reasons that things made sence within the Sookie Stackhouse Novels are chopped and the t.v. series falls a little flat. Jmo

DH watches True Blood with me and he has not read any of the books. He keeps asking me why certain characters are doing this or that and sometimes I can explain it, but most of the time I just say, "I don't know, that doesn't happen in the book" :(

If it weren't for Alexander (Eric) :hearts: I would probably give up on the show.
I totally disagree!!! If it happened just like the books for a tv series I would be totally bored. Cudos to Alan Ball for changing it up and making new characters, changing the old ones around. The same general premise is there, but I can look forward to some actual suspense over the break, and at the end of each episode. I can wonder which parts of the storyline will change, and which ones will be the same. Will Eric trick Sookie into being his bride when his memory returns??? I just love it this way. Relax and enjoy where the ride talkes you!!!

I feel the same way. Alan Ball said right from the get-go that the series would be an adaptation of the books, not a recreation, and that was something Charlaine Harris supported, too. I've heard a lot of people get angry about where the story is going and how it isn't like the books but, like you Wendy, I like having some suspense each week! Plus, if we stuck to the books, we wouldn't have Lafayette and he ended up turning into my favorite character. I also really like the new characters, too because I think in tv form, a lot of the storylines would get monotonous without the added diversity. I do wish they hadn't killed off Sophie-Anne, though because I loved Evan Rachel Wood playing her!
IT was AWESOME last night!!!! It's going to be a cliff hangar ending next week...so it will drive me nuts until next Summer!
