THUNDER SHIRT MODEL..OR HOW TO LOSE 10 POUNDS IN SECONDS!
I think it needs to be renamed ~~CANINE SPANDEX!!!!!   For some reason, she would not look at me, or stand up......   FINALLY,,, after screaming and yelling treat 3 times...she did grace me with a nasty stare!!!   It is getting ready to really storm here, so I will let you know if her new wardrobe purchase works... ((I know why she is mad at me...I mean, come on...GRAY?????? and NO BLING??????))  |

I DID close the bathroom door, just in case..since at the first rumble of Thunder, she beelines to the commode~~~ BUT~~she has not even tried ...There has been thunder, but she is laying here, not shaking or pacing or worrying. she is not even sucking her stuffie which she does when she is stressed or tired,,,, She was chewing on of her bones, but she always does that in the morning. AMAZing!!!!!  I highly recommend this to anyone who has stress issues..I am hoping that eventually, since she is having no noise reactions, she will realize that there is nothing to fear...BUT...well you know the rest!!!!  |
Once you know you are going to keep it you can bling it out  Maybe glitter paint in a fireworks pattern? Heart looks great...I guess you don't need to put her on a diet now that she has her sheepie-spanx  |

| I have never heard of this. I will be on a cruise on the 4th, so Nigel will be home with his Daddy...I hope he stays home with him. Nigel is about to have his first 4th without his big sister...so I don't know how he will react. If we need one of those shirts I will be bugging you for info. |

| My understanding is that the shirt works for thunderstorms by decreasing static charges, which confuse and stress out some dogs and cats. They head to bathrooms because the tile doesn't conduct the electrical charges like carpet and fabric do. Since static charges aren't part of the problem for the 4th of July, it may not work. However, we have put weighted vests on some of our autistic kids to calm them down during stressful times. It seems to work for them. |
Poor Heart does not look happy.  I'm really glad it works though. Did you get it at 4 Muddy Paws? Does it come in sizes? I hope it comes in a 2XL. Jake may not be happy but I'm going to buy him one!!!!! Was the shirt difficult to get on? Heart DOES need some bling on her new thunder shirt!!! Be sure to post after you bling it up!!!!!!! |
| ^^^^ Carol it goes by weight. I got mine at 4 Muddy Paws. You could call and ask if they have Jakes size. I think you will be happy with the results. I am!!! so far!!!! |

| That is great that it works! I heard the 'dog lady' on Sirius Radio highly recommending them for dogs who have stress--she stated several times that they do really work well! I agree--a little bling would really be a good thing for Miss Heart's Thundershirt! |
| They work (and any kind of snug pressure wrap will do the same - you can use a tight shirt, ace wraps, or something handy like the Thunder Shirts) by the pressure of the wrap or garment on the body. It isn't related to storms or electricity. The pressure is calming, so it will work for any situation that causes stress. Moving, travel, a new experience, storms, etc. And it does work with most, but I'm sure there are dogs out there where it won't do enough to give relief if it's something so overwhelming to the dog (or any animal, actually). |
| We bought ours at 4 Muddy Paws during Sheepiepalozza because Gar is such a spaz in the car. I was hoping it would help calm him down....it didn't. I'm going to try it on Simon next time we drive to agility. Simon is a nervous rider and our drive is 45minutes one way. Hopefully this will help. |

The instructions recommend short periods of exposure to car issues with the shirt on, adding time to each event. Each time Buff travels it gets just a little better (thank god). |

| Well I have been meaning to ask you about this thing? Is it still working? Heck, have we had any more storms? This is the first night I have been home since Sunday and off the merry-go-round better known as Harrington the Over Scheduled Dog so my brain is basically mush. I did recommend that a lady at work buy one and then forgot to ask you how your's is working. One thing is for sure - that is one ticked off look on her face. |

| Hey Val I just received it. Looking at it there are lots of options for bling. I see lace trim, rhinestones and a little feminine fabric is needed. Will post it when I am finished. But first must see if it works on thunder, fireworks and and the car. Gigi must be blinged even when wearing a thundershirt. She may have to be seen in it at times. It will be dressed up |

| Hahahaha Val. Heart would never want to live here. Too many bad hair days! But she did tell me she wants to visit when it is not too hot or humid. we can hear thunder in the distance and I cannot get the shirt on Gigi! She is all worked up and I don't want to stress her more. Living here in the lighting capital will cause Gigi to have the shirt on everyday until October ! |

| hahah I don't even know how to use the emoticons. The shirt works! We had a very bad storm last night and Gigi did not run around barking. She sat next to me the whole time. When I first put the shirt on her, she would not move at all. After some time, she would only stay next me. It is as if she had been given a strong tranquilizer. Eventually, she would walk around. So we think it works! so far...   Oh yes it needs bling! Maybe that is why Gigi looks so sad. |
