Zoey is getting a sister!!!!
After a lot of talking, both within our own house and with others in-the-know, Jen and I decided not only did Zoey need a companion, but we like having two dogs. We talked to four or five breeders, a couple rescue folks and decided on getting a puppy. I'm sure in the future we'll look at rescuing again, but this time it's a puppy. We'll be getting the little one at the end of July. Her registered name is/will be 'Ken-Bear's Windfield Clearly Caitlyn; we'll be calling her Caty for daily use. So you smart folks out there can already tell where she's coming from... The litter was whelped on May 27th, so they're only 13 days old. To describe Jen and I as excited would be an understatement of biblical proportions! So, with this being our first very young puppy together, (Zoey was 6 months old when we got her) and the first very young puppy either of us has had in MANY years, be prepared for millions of questions. We know a fair amount, but this is something that we want to make sure we do right the first time. We have a great dog in Zoey and want Caty to do as well or better. One thing for sure is she won't be lacking attention or affection! Ok, I'll come back down now. Like I said, be ready for me to tear up the Getting A Puppy section. Vance |

| YOU can't wait?! We are getting pics, but they're of the whole litter. We're not sure which one is ours yet as the breeder has a say in who get which one. We're working with Wanda Farr. She's amongst the best so I'm sure we'll be very happy no matter. I'll post pics of the one we discussed the most in a bit. Vance |

| Here are two photos of the puppy that we've expressed interest in above all others. There is an obvious C marking on her back which is where Jen and I drew the inspiration for her name, Clearly Caitlyn. Her left eye has what I'm calling 'pirate mascara'. Not quite an eye patch, but something a little different. Nothing on the right side. At 16 days old. Wanda said that they're already starting to wobble about on all fours and eyes are opening.   Oddly, Zoey has a very similar marking on her back but it goes the opposite direction... kinda like bookends! I'll post more as the weeks go by. Vance |
