"Francine is a boy! saw him pee and checked closer and there is a dinger!"

Did imprinting SEVERAL times today......

I am just DYING laughing here.... 8) 8) 8)

maybe anatomy 101~~~~~ :cow: :cow: :cow:

This is just too too funny!!!!!!
How does a guy miss a thing like a "dingle?" Actually I thought those were out the other exit port. Frank is not a good name........need to rethink this.
Yes, we will pick a new name...open to suggestions. I will get the pedigree info and post some names to work with.

STILL laughing.......
Hahahahaha. I thought Todd was a farmer. Isn't it only city folk who can't sex an animal.
Well you can't change the name too much. I'm for Francois! Frank or Frankie for short!
"Dinger"????

As to names...have you ever seen Disney's The Emperor's New Groove? I vote "Kuzco" :D
Could name him Anthony Weiner.

Just sayin'
Frankie, or Francois if he is being fancy.
Oh my soul!!! I am dying here. Yep, if there is a dinger, need to re-think the name... LOL.

:D 8O

   Too Funny!
Todd. Call him that and the big Todd will NEVER forget this.

Vance
I think the most obvious name is also the most appropriate:

DINGER!
This is really quite funny. Poor Todd, not only does he make a surprising mistake, but you post it out here for all of our amusement.

I suppose those people in Canada with the baby whose gender they have kept secret for eighteen months are probably looking at Todd saying "Yup, this poor Llama baby is scarred for life over the gender confusion" :P

I guess I am going to have exchange the pink Llama Pajamas I bought for a blue pair instead.

I say the name change should be Fancois and call him Frank

OK, had to look that one up........ 8) ...

Todd even laughed at that one!

We had a car dealer here "Dave Dinger Ford"

Their jingle was:

"How does Dinger Do it?
(We don't know)
Come out and see,
out at Route 128
in Braintree (in Braintree)"

You guys need to turn on a radio or TV once in a while!

Huge scandal, Weiner texted a pic of his dinger, and lied about it, and coverup is ALWAYS worse than the crime..... oh well...
My vote is for Dinger. Or Hum Dinger...

Of course you'll have to explain how he came up with that name and it will cause laughs for years to come. :excited:

LOL - well as Todd hates watching the news (he calls it all gloom and doom) we miss a lot...I scrounge up most online, must have missed this one.
Actually, when I started reading it to him, he recalled some "scandal" 8) 8)
He cracks me up....

PS - I just logged on to MSN to see what was new...and wouldn't you know there is a headline : What Will Wiener's Wife Do???

I'm enchanted with Francine Dinger Weiner. Hysterically enchanted!!!

Congrats on your newest addition, Dawn and Todd, he is adorable :hearts: :hearts:
OK, outside of the call name fun, this GUY needs a registered name too.

Mom (Stefany) is Stefany Tiffany Xavier. Her mom is Tiffany ABSR, dad is Chilean Xavier ABSR (I don't know what the ABSR means - I think it's a flock name. No one else in the 5 generation pedigree has that listed.)
Chilean Xavier has Chilean lines on both sides.

Dad is Chilean Toreador...I don't remember his call name. His parents - Chileno El Toro X Tia Condora
I don't have his pedigree back more, but will get it when we register "Baby Boy"

Here is Dad's show picture from an ad in the LamaLink - the main LLama publication- 2007 -

Help!... I took German in school!
I kinda feel sorry for Todd ( :excited: ), had to see the poor little baby pee to be sure.

I was kind of surprised that you guys weren't watching for signs of labor so that you could be there if case something went wrong. I'm a city girl...can you tell?

Really cute baby and can't wait for "HIS" name
Condora is lady condor... El Toro....the bull
Toredador...bull fighter........remember the opera Carmen??

Poor llama is a cross between a condor and a bull, no wonder his weiner wasn't recognized!

Registered name can be whatever, but this cria may always be called Weiner....or maybe Oscar Meyer.
Pam - he was checking - llamas are very secretive. We have a llama book, and the author said we likely would miss the birth. She has only seen 2 llama births herself over many years. Even our sheep do that as well. If things go well, they sneak it in between our checks...darn animals!

Susan - I knew some, but thanks for the rest! What a mixed bag.....I could scan in the whole pedigree just to challenge you... 8)
too much more spanish and we'll have to consult Ali.

My german is long, long gone. In fact my foreign languages have merged into one mish mash. One day I was talking to a lady at church.........in one sentence I used Greek, German and Spanish and didn't realize it. Fortunately the lady is multi lingual and just laughed and said, "...and you did that all with an Italian accent." So my language center files has suffered serious corruption.

Not strange by me, as I'd prefer Lamalink....lol :D
..and entirely the safe answer as well.

and back on topic - new pictures are coming. :go:
Will you guys be showing your llamas? I didn't even know they were shown LOL

Very interesting thread!
Frank is growing on me. Francisco Xavier..........or Cisco Xavier. For those who don't remember the radio show or movies:
Quote:
The radio episodes ended with one or the other of them making a corny joke about the adventure they had just completed. They would laugh, saying, "'oh, Pancho!" "'oh, Cisco!", before galloping off, while laughing.

OK, Lisa who had naming rights (she picked Francine) has decided he will be Francis, seeing he is a boy. She is very sad she does not have a Francine, however!

I really like the Francisco version as part of his registered name....
Also like the eagle - how would you say "the" before Aquila? (Like Francisco the Eagle or something similar?)
Willowsprite wrote:

Possibly we will show him. I wish we lived closer to the breeder. They have a real active youth group and have classes at their farm to learn to groom and show the llamas.

There is also now a llama 4-H project in MN, and Breanna wants to show him. They can't show until next year, as he's too little now. They have May 1 to May 1 enrollment for animals - and he wasn't born yet!
The kids compete at their county fair shows, and can win trips to the state llama show at the MN State Fair. The kids have to be at least in 6th grade for that (the state show) though - and Bre is just going into 4th grade next fall.
Our county offers the llama project, but doesn't have enough enrollment to offer their own show - so would get combined with another more established county - I did check into it a bit last year.

Stefany was a show llama for one of their neighbor girls. She's in college now. She came to say goodbye to Stefany when we came to pick her up - it was sad! She even had some of her senior pictures with Stefany! (I saw one, they were beautiful). She showed her in youth classes and in open classes in regular llama shows.
I took a couple pictures after work - but it was still almost 100 degrees and I didn't want to stress them by doing too much.
Both sides of little Francis - he is 1 day old!

And it gets unanimous approval! Thanks Susan and all who helped ...I have baby cria names for the next 5 years!! :D
This is so exciting. Francis is beautiful, he has a dark mask(or so it looks), while Mom has lighter coloring around her eyes. He's beautiful!!! :hearts:
He's beautiful! I so love the nursing pic...cool!

I'm a bit jealous...every year at the state fair Scott and I moon over the llamas and alpacas. :hearts: We adore muskoxen too, but you cant have just one of those (they need their herd). Someday maybe!
There are domesticated Muskox? I thought they were only truly wild animals. I also find them one of the coolest animals in North America, particularly because they seem to live on the edge of the world.
He is a darling. Dawn, you need to have a Llamapalooza, we would all attend!

Quite likely...at the very least he should be invited to the next event, right??

Mama moose (and child) moved on! I don't get to keep the cute baby to play with like Dawn does (*pouts*)
Did you post re: mama moose and baby? I missed it. I'm glad both survived to move on, the way it should be.

Yeah...in fact I had to laugh when I read what Dawn said about "sneaky" animals having their babies when you aren't looking, because that pretty much what happened to us!
