We didn't know what to do, but I did look and notice the sky behind us was nearly black, so I figured "eff it" and just hit the gas pedal. We drove through Effingham County pretty effing fast! |

I also didn't mention, when we did make it to the hotel in stormy St. Louis, as soon as we stepped out of the car we hear air raid sirens for tornado alerts! There were some funnel clouds that could form into tornadoes moving over the area, the picture doesn't really show how scary the sky looked: A busload of kids pulled into the hotel parking lot and the kids piled into the hallway for shelter: This was my first tornado scare, and I'd be "eff'd" if I didn't get supplies for hunkering down! Thankfully you can buy booze at the gas station right next to the hotel: (Mady and Kim were not amused) |
Well, they say, grab the essentials............. |
lol Looks like you were all set for a tornando party. When I hear the sirens go off I usually grab my camera and go outside, drives my usband crazy. |
