| I'm sorry you had such a disappointing experience. I'm not much help other than sympathy. I recently took Barney to a groomer for bath only. When I got him back they did a beautiful job; except for cutting all the hair away from his eyes in such a way that his face looked like a monkey. Sure like to see what the poodle cut looks like on a sheepie though. I thought I read somewhere that it takes about a year to regrow a full coat after a shave. |

The growth rate is about one inch per month, it grows back quickly. Our sheepie had a shave in Feb. and he is starting to get the sheepie look again. Depending on your location you might want to keep him in a puppy cut for hot summer weather. Best of luck in finding a groomer who has experience with our breed.
