Maybe he just wanted to christen them. At first I thought that the new surface might have freaked him out but then you said you have hardwood floors elsewhere. Maybe they smell freaky to him and he feels the need to pee on them or maybe he just needs to claim the space as his own. |
Well, let's consider the following statement: In the minute he was alone in there (with the cats) he peed probably 35 gallons onto the new floors 1) a 35 gallon urine output in one minute. Miracle dog or something else? 2) Alone WITH the cats. You can't be alone and with. Clearly, it was the cats that peed. It stands to reason since they were the ones who trashed the carpet and they are probably upset that you got rid up that nice, homey smell. I haven't done the math to calculate how many cats it would take to generate 35 gallons of urine in 60 secs, but cats are crafty critters, and anything to get the dog in trouble... My vote is: Blame it on the cats. Kristine |
Good one Kristine. However, you obviously don't have real cat experience. NO ONE could mistake cat urine for dog urine. Cat urine is in a whole league of its own, smell wise. |
