Puppy Names? Suggestions?
Well I am going to be the proud mama of a bouncing baby boy!!! He is newly arrived in the world and I have yet to see him. Although I plan on making a trip across the boarder to see him in a few weeks. I won't be able to bring him home however until the end of Sept. I am soooooo happy!!! Any suggestions for boy names? Have to mention to Bam Bam's mom I absolutely love that name. My boy is going to be a family pet not a show dog but that probably doesn't matter when it comes to names. So, any suggestions for names? Would love to hear from some of you. Thanks in advance.  |

When we got our puppy we had the same problem. What to name him. Well, I liked Max but to register him with the AKC we had to come up with another name (too many dogs named Max already) So I took the name of a football player from my favorite team. So even though he is still Max to us, his full registered name is FuaMUTu-MAX'afala, after the Pittsburgh Steeler's player Chris Fuamatu-Ma'afala. We didn't think there would be to many of those  |
| I looked under English names. I wanted to call mine Winston (after Churchill) but my husband and son wasn't too crazy about it. So I named him Watson. I get comments like, is Holmes w/him.
My husband is a retired telephone man and someone thought we named him after Bell's assistant Watson. |

Before we got our dog, I liked the name Max. Then my brother named his son Max. No Max the Dog for us. Our guy came with his own name (Jake), and he seemed to like it, we liked it, so we kept it. One day a few years into his ownership of us I was looking into his eyes. He had dark black eyelids, and I suddelnly realized that I should have named him Max, Max Factor. Just thought that I'd share. |
