Thanks Ron! I think I'm registered now. (guess I don't know how to add smiles yet!) |
Welcome heylynne! Sounds like a fun trip to me. (to add smilies, just click on them and they will be placed where ever your cursor is blinking.... ) They will look like text, but when you post it they turn into real smilies! |
Woo Hoo! You and our community are getting a new puppy!!! Nice having you here. Normally you can just click on the smilie, but you seem to be inserting weird links into your posts. You can insert the regular set of smilies with codes like : ) and : D and so forth. Also you can preview your posts before you "submit" them to see what they look like and fix'em up until you're . |
Congratulations on your new puppy! For the long ride home you'll want to bring a several old towels and washcloths for messes. Put a towel in the crate and expect it to get soiled. Change as necessary. Take at least a gallon of fresh water and a dish for the pup. Some for drinking and some for wash-ups if things get messy. Pack a couple trash bags and a disinfecting cleaner. Ask the breeder for enough of the food they've been feeding and specific instructions to prevent upset tummy. For such a young puppy you want to absolutely avoid exercising at icky rest areas. Dogs and other critters with who-knows-what kind of parasites or diseases have been here in a huge concentration. When we transport puppies there is a "No Paws On The Ground" rule, even during an all-day transport. Get plenty of sleep before the puppy arrives. The excitement is just beginning! |
Can't wait to hear more. |
