Look at her skin under her black hair. Does it look like that skin? Both my sheepies have these, and they change throughout the years. If it looks like this, nothing to worry about! |
I like the idea of a sheepie racing stripe! It is normal coloring. Even though she may have white hair, the skin underneath is often mottled...her mottles just formed a stripe. Same thing inside her mouth......does she have black spots? All normal. |
The rectus abdominus (stomach) muscles join down the middle of the abdomen and there can be a difference in skin pigmentation over the area where they join that forms a visible line on the skin down the middle of the abdomen. In human females it is more commonly lighter and called the linea alba but it can darken during pregnancy and is then called the linea negra. Sorry I don't know if that happens in bitches. Maybe some of the breeders can comment. |
