Yes Nolan Ryan is majority owner, CEO, and President of the Texas Rangers. In 2000 he had a major heart attack and had to have double bi-pass surgery. Might be the meds he is on that make him "puffy" lol My Aunt just had the same surgery and gets puffy from her meds |

| I don't think his hands look like normal wieght gain from just fat. While he's huge, his hands -well I actually only saw his left hand- his left hand looks really really bad, like a blown up glove. I fear his heart isn't pumping well and/or steroids. Not good. |
| He looked much bigger than that pic... and he was standing which is usually more flattering on the chin(s). His playing weight is listed at 170 (6 foot 2) at baseball-reference.com, but he looks much closer to 300 now to my untrained eye. I thought he retired about 10 years ago.... but it was 18 (2003). I'm getting very old. |
Here he is in October 15th, 2010, less than 6 months ago. On TV he looks much larger today to my eye. |
