Pearl before and after......
 Pearl AFTER.....She looks puppyish but the stains on her front legs give her age away...she is obsessive about licking and biting her legs......   CLOSEUP of my sweet girl's SMILE!!!!!!  She did bounce when she got in the door...and then her legs kind of gave way under her...But she got up and ran to go potty ...She has such a young, bouncy spirit...But her body.....well............... |

It's just this ONE pic ...but that third pic looked soo much like Yuki when I first looked. I think Pearl is happy to have some relief!!! Or at least I hope she gets some now that she's shaved down!!!  |

That before picture is just sad - she looks so miserable with that out of control bushiness on her front end  It was just overwhelming her sweet little body. I hope she's not too chilly (good thing she's not here with our stupid cold streak - below freezing again  ), but that's what those fun sweaters and outfits are for, right??!!! | Thanks Dawn.... I didn't recognize her when I picked her up..  Then I asked MaryKatherine, my groomer, to put it all back !!!!  I thought she looked cute and I think she felt lighter, because she tried to JUMP in the backseat and almost fell. Dino doesn't like her hairy head. He says she looks like a Saluki...  He actually told me he was taking Pearl back tomorrow to get her face and head shaved.....  We have been married 37 years and we almost never fight..EXCEPT when it comes to the dogs!!! He always wants to shave them down...AND I NEVER want to ~~So we go 'round and 'round,,,(BUT I always WIN!!!  )She is a little cold, so I had to turn on the fireplace to keep her warm. Joey is getting me one of Leo's old sweatshirts for her. It was 50'~60's here last week and today down in the 40's..On Saturday, possible snow!!! I hope I can keep her warm enough..... Jo...yes...she does look like Yuki in the last pic!!!! |
I bet she looked adorable all curled up in a tiny ball. I always worry they're cold too  I'm so glad you're not offended.  I kept erasing what I wrote because even though I thought this... I didn't want to share in fear everyone would think I was crazy!!!!! And they don't look alike really now with Yuki's hair cut, but you guys have been around to see many many pics of her in the past. |

I tend to cover mine up when they're hair is shorter... I made some small fleece blankets earlier this year and they've been nice. They don't take up all the room in the washing machine like the quilts!  I made a dog coat pattern out of butcher paper years ago and made a coat for Nikki. I've modified it for different dogs over the years and thought the same fleece blanket material would make a nice coat to keep them warm after a haircut. The one in the picture below is a ultra heavyweight polar fleece type material.  Shirts work well too.  (My 3 stooges!) Anything to keep the chill away! |

| I love the last pic of Pearl .Those eyes are beautiful When i shave Marley down he always gets cold just before bedtime so we put a fleece top on him .After his bedtime walk i shout him to come and get his pj's on and he comes running up to me with his butt wigging to get his pj's on before he goes to bed |
