|
You got me, Ron. We're running low on food anyway |
You mean if I order on line oes.org gets a commission? Do you have to access it through the oes web site? Splain me, I'm computer dumb. |
Yes, if you click that banner above to get to petco.com, oes.org gets a commission on your purchases. Just be sure to click a banner on oes.org before you shop. Everything else is taken care of behind the scenes. |
SHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOPINGGGGGGGGGGG, OOOOOOOOOOOOOH!!!!! There must be something I still need before the new pup arrives.
I'm off to give it a try!! |
Ron,
I can only imagine how much time, energy, and money it takes to run this forum. The 15% discount for our crew will be heaven. Can you imagine how much dog food for 2 dogs, cat food for 8 cats...1 that is pregnant, 2 frogs and 2 fish. We can spend a lot just on necessities, but when you add the cat trees, cat toys, dog toys, and anything else fun we happen to see, we spend a lot on our furry family a month. I hope the oes.org benefits greatly from us having fun shopping!! Now all we need is a discount banner for Home Depot and the mall and we will be set!! Stormi and co. |
How long does the offer run for? Forever? |
I think if you look closely when you click on the banner, it says that the discount doesn't apply to food sorry. But there might be some other promos on there that are better, maybe free shipment. Thre's also a 10% promo on travel gear.
Here's the deal on this deal at this moment: Quote: Get 15% off your online order of $45 or more in supplies*
(expires 4/21/2005) Quote: *15% off applies to minimum online purchase subtotal of $45. (Subtotal refers to amount of order before taxes and shipping.) EXCLUSIONS: Promotion Code does not apply to the following: purchases of dog food, cat food, cat litter; out-of-stock items, donations, gift certificates and gift cards; merchandise purchases through Bottomless Bowl & More subscriptions; shipping or applicable taxes. PETCO.com is required by law to charge applicable state tax on all orders shipped to states in which PETCO has a physical location. Promotion Codes valid for one use per customer only. Promotion Codes cannot be redistributed or used in combination with any other offer. PETCO.com in their sole discretion may refuse to redeem any Promotion Code which they believe in good faith to be fraudulently or improperly obtained. Offer valid at PETCO.com only. I can look around for other deals, not just through petco, but from a whole host of other online companies.. Let me know! This is actually fun! |
OOoooohhh... I would love to get my kitties one of these. I also like the catnip beatles... I'm sure my kitties would love to snuggle with it. I am very disapointed in the selection of cat trees though. It's to be expected though since many companies make trees for kittens and not cats. Everything is so short except a couple (they have more variety in stores). I do like the couches and stuff though - I would much rather buy it through them than through some unknown store. Maybe I can even get a couple toys for Momo from there. |
Ron,
Now I'm aware that Amazon and Petco give commissions to the Forum if we order through the link. Are there other retailers as well? Could these links be posted on the home page maybe in the form of their logo, so we don't have to search for them when we need them? |
I just signed up for petco at the recommendation of another member; The affiliate system has MANY affiliates, and I can sign up with many of them, but they all will have minimums before they actually dole out anything. I'll wind up have $3 credits everywhere. lol
I need to go through the list and see which I think will be good, honest complimentary sites. Maybe I ought to publish the list and let everyone put in their two cents' worth..... hmmmmm.... The list is extensive, and some merchants have some strict criteria for joining, but I'm sure that oes.org would be accepted by most if not all. Ok, some of the pet-related merchants, in addition to Petco.com: Quote: Petco.com PETsMART 1-800-PetMeds StateLineTack.com Other "Premium" (most trustworthy, supposedly) merchants in which I might be interested. Hi Ron! You've already got my Big 2 - Petco and Amazon. I do need to order paper and printer cartridges for my home office so I could shop Office Depot on line too. Thanks for hosting such a great site and giving us an easy way to "contribute"! Sue |
Great, I use Overstock.com all the time. Office Depot is a good one also, we all need paper, etc.. Maybe you can add Foster and Smith, Cherrybrook, JB Wholesale, etc. I know lots of us here use those sites on a regular basis. Thanks Ron |
could we have a support the site area somewhere, so we can go in and click on these to shop, shop, shop? (or is there something like that somewhere, and I'm just not being observant... again....)
Karen |
Ron,
By minimums I presume you mean that unless an order is for minimum+ $'s there is no credit given the forum. If you post links, please include the minimum needed. I vote for Amazon, Petco and Office Depot; otherwise I would limit the links to companies that give the forum a kickback. What is the range of the return to the forum (% or $ amount). Suggestion: the home page would have a Link to "OES Forum Friendly Retailers". Clicking on the link would give the list, with minimum purchase required and $/% return to forum By the way, 3 cheers for your setup of the home repair Guru. |
Good idea George. |

What about us Canadians? Anything for us?
I use Amazon.ca, and I shop at PetsMart all the time. |
Perhaps our home improvement guru can recommend some home improvement links for us DIY ers!
Karen Otherwise, they look good to me- I haven't heard anything bad about any of them! Karen |
NOTE: SUNROCKET IS OUT OF BUSINESS
I just came across a great deal, and want to share it with oes.org members... and yes, oes.org gets a deal if you order, too. I just recently ordered a full year's of unlimited telephone service for $199. That's right, $199 for an entire year of unlimited calls within the US and Canada. No taxes. No fees. That's about $16.58 a month. Here's the catch: It works off of your broadband internet connection. So if you've got cable internet, this is a pretty good deal. If you've got DSL, it's a pretty good deal. If you're on dial up it's still a good deal, just not for you. Personally, we're keeping our regular phone line for a while, just to make sure that this is as stable as it seems. But I don't think we'll keep both for very long; if service goes down, we still have our cell phones. So soon we'll transfer our phone number to the SunRocket service and drop our home line, which is IDT and their "unlimited" service at "$39.99 a month" which works out to be more like $60 bucks a month when all the fees and taxes are added. This is their suggested email... thought I'd leave it pretty much intact: Quote: You might be interested in checking out a new phone company called SunRocket. I am a SunRocket customer, and I have enjoyed their Signature Service. SunRocket is allowing me to extend you a special offer if you decide to sign up as well. You would receive: PS The phone service sounds great!SunRocket Signature Service - Annual Edition 12 Months of Service for $199 per year (That's just $17 a month!) Unlimited calling - U.S. and Canada Free international minutes ($3.00 allowance every month) Free extra phone number Over 10 enhanced calling features Two free Directory Assistance calls each month All the necessary equipment to get started No charge to activate - includes free shipping No hidden fees Taxes included in the Bottom-Line price No cancellation fees 31 day risk-free guarantee Plus, if you use this SunRocket code number as your Promotion Code when you order, you will receive a free Uniden Cordless Phone System with two handsets (and oes.org gets a commission). NOTE: SUNROCKET IS OUT OF BUSINESS You MUST enter that promotion code to get your free phone and for oes.org to get credit. You can find out more about SunRocket by visiting their website at http://www.SunRocket.com. Signed, Ron |
