I've been watching this year. I've been impressed by several this year, and I really like the judges |
I'm an addict. I LOVE the judging panel this season, Steven Tyler and Jennifer Lopez are perfect additions and seem to work well with Randy. I love how the judges seem to really be "into" the music this year.... I don't know how to describe it. I have a few faves already, wasn't unhappy to see anyone go who didn't make it. |
Watched last nights American Idol this morning on DVR. This is the first year that I waited until this long into the season to watch. I'm very impressed with the contestants that are left. I like the judges as well...so far. I'm now looking forward to watching next week. (I have too many programs recording tonight to watch the results) Does anyone have a favorite or a few favorites? |
I watched faithfully for years -but not at all this year or last. What network/day/time is it on? |
Dawn: American Idol is on the Fox Network. Wed/Thurs. I dvr the competion at 8:00 on Weds and either check the internet or someone on the news usually says who got voted off sometime during the day on Friday. |
I'm bored to TEARSSSSSSSSSS... but I have to say that this past episode (elimination) was awesome!! Casey Abrams rocks. |
I am sort of enjoying it this year. I find the women fairly boring, with only the occasional exceptions. I found Steven Tyler really creepy when he was saying icky things to the fifteen year old girls...but now it seems to have evened out more. Maybe they've just limited his contact opportunities with the younger ones. I think most of the men have their own "character" which helps to make them stand out more. The women are (nearly) all very similar. I am pleasantly surprised at how much I like Jennifer Lopez on the show. She has helpful things to add... I definitely have my favourite contestants, but American Idol has definitely become a PVR show. I can get through the full two hours in about forty minutes, and the results show takes about three. |

I just happened to catch the last result show in its entirety b/c mr. j wasn't home and I was too busy cooking to fast forward. Normally we NEVER watch them. |
I hate that they do a whole separate night for the results. Stupid, they could easily fit the "group" performance and results into one show with the individual performances. Ryan Seacrest spends way too much time on screen yapping. I don't know ANYONE who watches the shows because of him He's so full of himself. Drives me nuts. My faves so far are Lauren Alaina, James Durbin, Paul MacDonald and Casey Abrams. |
Thanks for the info. I will need to DVR it also. |
I've been watching since the eleven, and can't wait to see tomorrows results. Every week, I've been for Scotty and Haley but tonight I might vote for Lauren and Haley. Who will be eliminated Thursday night? |
It will be interesting to see who goes tonight...since my fave, James, went last week. All 3 of the last contenders have different voices...so lets see. I told my hubby it will probably depend on who came from the largest high school, because fo the school loyalty. |

Just in case, I 'm making a batch of cupcakes to console me thru tonights show |
Hayley strikes me as a dumb sloot. I have hated her from the beginning. I think she sings better than Lauren ...and Scotty sings better than Lauren, but I am praying to God Hayley doesn't win. Oh, and I think Scotty deserves it out of the ones left. Scotty is not my favorite but he does make for a good country star. Out of the people left.. I "LIKE" Lauren... just don't think she deserves it. Have always liked her. Hayley's attitude is starting to slowly make it to the surface and I just hate girls like her ...which is why I can't root for her. Very cute body though. Slooty demeanor. I think James could have gotten more votes if he would have thrown out his aspergers and turrets more. I didn't know/remember until the day before he got the boot. It would have helped explain some behaviors that I always thought were off and would tell Mr. J every time I saw him. I wasn't his biggest fan at first but really grew to like him and thought he was the BEST performer!! |
I watch on and off usually. I'm not watching even more because Hayley lives one town over from us and her Mom's close friend is in my aqua class. I've been hearing and seeing the Vote for Hayley signs for weeks now. Now that she's in the finals I've taken notice and flip to the show more. We actually were in the bank parking lot when Hayley's limo pulled up in front to take pictures in front of the Wheeling town sign. Trust me..the town is nothing special. I do see what people like in Hayley and she has a rock type of voice. She did bug me last night when she caled Ryan Seacrest her Buddy and Boy. Weird! It's kind of neat that we have someone so nearby in the finals. I keep saying how great that must be for her to meet and hug all these fantastic superstars. |
That's cool you were there and I'm always excited when someone is famous near me. ...didn't know where she was from, but now that I do, it only gives me one more reason to be happy Mr. J didn't take that job in Wheeling 2 years ago. |
I'm saddened for Haley, yet happy for Scotty and Lauren. I thought Haley would go all the way but definitely she ended on a high. Her Benny and the Jets was incredible!! Good luck to the last two singing. |
