Green goop is a vet trip in my book. Maybe it's a simple bacterial eye infection, maybe it needs something else. I don't know where you are, but in the US I believe polysporin eye drops still require a prescription. They used to - maybe that's changed in recent years? |
We are in Canada...and no its no prescription...just on the shelves |
I would go to the vet- there are many reasons for goop- something in eye, infection, corneal erosion, scratch, glaucoma... All require different treatments. Some, like glaucoma can be emergencies... |
^^^I second this. Green goop was our sympton for entropian and distichiasis. Green goop is usually a bad thing in our house. |
we get the green goop here. And even though its always been an eye infection, I still go to my vet, just in case this time its something different. As an aside, in our case, it almost always happens after a trip to the groomers.... |
I wouldn't be putting anything in my dog's eyes that my vet didn't tell me to put in them. |
