There's up growth and outgrowth. First they grow into their height and then take another year to "fill out." It's not so much bone growth as muscle mass increase. I hear people say the chest expands......yeah in some breeds they do seem to get chesty. By two-two and a half they pretty much has it all done......maybe 30 months. If they are very active like Chewie, building muscle, they may gain a few more pounds and they bulk up. By three I'd worry that weight gain is too many cookies. |
Both Oscar and Quincy hit their "fighting weight" at just under two years of age. They reached their final stature at about 12 months, and then "filled out" from there. I think Bogey is probably done with any substantial growth. Unless, as Susan suggested, it's "cookie growth". Laurie and Oscar |
Love it...Cookie growth! And as a note - Chewie's whole shape/weight changes, based on his conditioning. Right now he is super lean...going out to visit Marnie/Kristine/ Sunny this weekend...and Marnie will be sure to be saying something that he is too thin... But, if you watched those last videos I posted of agility, you can see how he flies and is at a great weight for him. I only wish I was doing HALF as good with myself..... |
Do you really think you could fly over those jumps? |
