In fact he invited me to his office for an interview, which I accepted but then called back and canceled with his assistant with a lame excuse of a family emergency. Afterward I worried that he may have sent condolences. Sheeeesh. I felt terrible about it for years. Still have twangs of guilt about it. I always wondered if I had just asked for him as myself if he was just an open-door kind of guy. Anybody else have a similar tale of posing your way next to stardom? (Or just calling? ) |

Well Ron, yes I do Back in the 70's there was a group called "Crosby,Stills, Nash and Young"...They were doing a concert here and staying at a local hotel. I called the hotel late at night and said it was an emergency and needed to talk to Graham nash...He got on the phone, sounding like he was either sleeping or half in the bag and I proceeded to tell him how much I loved him and the band...He mutterred a few choice words and hung up ...I don't feel guilty...just stupid! |
Ashley, did you happen to get his home or cell number? Maybe I could give him a call and get Crosby's number |
LOL! |
I think Crosby is in jail I have another confession...I went on a cruise a few years ago...With two of my friends who happen to be gay...We all shared the same room. People on the cruise were looking at us like, what's up with that...two men and one girl in a room...So... I made up a storu that we were long lost siblings, seperated at birth and we found each other as adults and went on this cruise to celebrate...next thing we know, at the Captains dinner, he announces our "wonderful" story and everyone gives us a standing ovation and free drinks for the entore cruise! Well, we never told anyone the truth and enjoyed all the attention AND the free cocktails!!!! |
and jersey girls get a bad rap. catholic church has a new app out for online confessions. |
Robert Kline (unfortunately, not Kevin Kline) came to see me in my dorm room many many years ago. Nothing lurid: I had just done a painting of him in costume for an artist in residence thing he was doing and some theater kids saw it and thought I should show it to him. He was kind enough and gracious enough to come and see it and to let me give it to him. I am guessing he filed it in a round file cabinet before he left town, but he made me feel like a real artist or something like it. |
