Ohh Katrina,
Joan and I feel so much for you. Our dog was everything to us as Chloe was to you. Time WILL help ease the pain. For us, there was nothing else BUT time that helped. Chloe will always be right next to you in your studio, and her spirit will be reflected in your art, probably more strongly now than ever before. May you find peace and solace. Ron and Joan. |
Hi Katrina,
What a lucky dog she was to have you as her family. It's apparent she was well loved and got a second chance for a wonderful life in your home. The grieving is especially hard and I feel for you, the profound pain you must be feeling over Chloe's loss. You have my deepest sympathies, Kathrina. Marianne |
I read your message because my grandaughter is named Chloe'. I too lost a sheepdog to being hit by a car many years ago. I know the guilt you feel. Time helps to ease the pain, and I can feel the love you had for her in the words of your message. I know she felt SO loved in your home. Don't wait too long to share that love with another Sheepie that needs you. Our current "child" is Bailey, we rescued him two years ago at the age of 6. I really wanted a puppy again, it has been a long time since we reaised a youngster, but I love Bailey as much as any other we ever had. Don't let the good memories with Chloe be colored by the way she died. |
I lost Alex almost 8 years ago to a bad kidney and still feel like I let him down some days. But then we rescued Beauty from a shelter here. When we moved 4 years later, she ran out of the new house in a storm. We looked for weeks, but couldn't find her.
So we bought Abbi. She is sitting on my feet as I type. I am so sorry your Chloe is gone so suddenly. Still I agree about sharing the love. Abbi has really lighted up our lives. She is 4 years old and still going strong. Sort of broke a bad cycle for us. I hope you find solace and forgiveness in the eyes of a new friend. It has been sunny the past couple of days down here. I hope you were able to take some long walks on the beach. It always makes me feel more at peace with myself. If you haven't gotten out, maybe it will not rain tomorrow and you can get out then ... the sun always breaks through in the end. |
