Coverage of Christchurch New Zealand Earthquake
I just saw some NBC video of the Christchurch New Zealand Earthquake and one of the scenes a woman was walking with her arms over the shoulders of two friends. I saw something on the side of her head as she turned and the scene ended. I asked myself... that wasn't a hunk of skin or something from the side of her head? Wow. So I backed up and it was her eyeball. As she was walking looking towards the camera you could just see there was something there, but just before the scene ended she turns to look over her other shoulder and her eyeball swings around dangling... I nearly got sick. I still don't feel so well. My thoughts are with all of New Zealand tonight. |

| OMG!!!! That is awful. I have deliberately avoided much of the news because it is so distressing. My Kiwi part of the family are in Auckland so they're ok and a good friend's brother and his family are all ok, so other than knowing how bad it is and sending prayers and a donation I'm going to avoid the footage as it is just so terrible to see. |
| I can only send my thoughts and sympathies - I am quite familiar with NZ and Christchurch was one of the areas I was seriously looking at moving to, when you know the places well on the news with events like these it makes it so much more real than a TV screen. |

I did later read that, but they said it was a lake they fell into...I know nothing about NZ geography, so maybe?? |

The weather and all the natural disasters have been so devastating in all parts of the world these past 6 months or so that it really scares me. Prayers are being said for everyone in the quake area.  |
| Truly a horrible disaster! Thoughts and prayers to the people of Christchurch New Zealand-I am sure the TV coverage doesn't really show the true devastation. I did not catch that the first time I watched the news clip--how awful! |

| ron, thanks for warning about the graphic pictures from nbc. That's the station I watch, so I just turned away when they were covering the story so I wouldn't happen to catch anything horrible. |
