It happens the baby canine has not started to loosen and come away as the permanent canine erupts from the gum. So you have "Double Fangs" Vet is right have him gnaw on a bone to help loosen and loose the baby canines. Best bone is a big bone, Marrow Bone. So he has to put his whole mouth around it to gnaw on and help loosen those retained canines, they should come away soon then. Give it a fortnight with the bones, feel it every day with your finger and see if it is loosening up, if not then I would recommend the vet extract the retained canines then as with the permanent ones well through it can if the baby ones are retained and not looking like falling out, can muck up his bite by throwing out the alignment of his permanent teeth coming through. Dont worry it happens and the bones should help hopefully fix it without going down the track of having them extracted. |
It happend to Joy right before Xmas. Joy was about five month old. She got her adult teeth very early, I think..... The vet said that the tooth did not disturb the position of the adult teeth so we could wait, leave it to the nature and let it fall out by itself. And so it did after five or six weeks. Sorry if my english is bad..... . |
