We went to a new indoor venue that has classes on Monday night. It's been raining cats over in this part of the world (no dogs, some decorum please) so we missed a lot of Friday night outdoor classes due to weather or my cripple having social engagements (such a cheek, needs to get her priorities sorted). So indoors on a Monday should be great. I was feeling a bit antsy, I haven't been to agility since end of November last year and there were lots of new dogs at this place. I was back in foundation class, very boring, lots of onlead stuff, although I won't argue with the amount of treats that were being handed to me. So I decided to do my usual self-entertainment routine. I sniffed a lot and I marked a lot. Heaven knows what all the spraying of perfumed stuff on the pretend grass was about? After all dog wee is a very important means of communication, but the uprights insist on trying to delete our peeamail. Never works of course! Then finally I had my big chance!!!! Some off lead work. I was very good at the restrained recall - at first. Granted my upright ran as fast as she could, and that's not very fast at the best of times, but she was pretty darn slow last night. S'pose it was ok for a cripple so I stuck with her nearly to the other side of the arena and then I did a lovely peel off to the right and circled back right around the arena to all the other dogs. I knew they were just dying to meet me, all except the little terrier that I chose to bestow my attention on. He didn't seem happy about me charging up to him at full speed and he tried to bite my face. Then his owner picked him up while he was still biting me, so I wasn't happy because he had a mouth full of my hair so I snarled and snapped a bit. By then my Mom, the cripple, had made it on the scene and she grabbed me and made me do a drop on the ground. Piff! It was kind of funny though, he looked like Father Christmas with a long white beard till his owner picked all of my head coat out of his teeth. So all in all, it was a pretty good class. I like a bit of excitment and action and if it doesn't happen I create it, I don't want anyone to be bored and disappointed. I'll let you all know how it goes next week, maybe a playful dog will come and we can have fun. I'm not sure why but I get the feeling my cripple didn't have as much fun as I did but who can understand crazy uprights, they are a bit slow on the uptake. Love Tiggy, Agility Gerl |

Tiggy, my darling girl, if you only KNEW what your upright says about you behind your fuzzy adorable back! I love the fact that you bring the fun. I am wondering if your upright is a bit cleaning obsessive, the way she tried to tidy up your peemail. Next time maybe do it even more and tell us how fun it was to watch her hobble around with a rag and a squirt bottle! Take pictures if you can sneak a camera in under your coat! |
oh Tiggy, I bet that was fun ! but you have to remember that the owners of small dogs, ( I call them rug rats) are not very happy when a big fluffy white dog come to sniff ther child, and that small dogs(RR) get scare easy of the white big dogs. I bet the terrier look really good with the white beard sorry that was your hair. About the peemail, how rude of the uprights to try to erase it, is just not fair, besides should be illegal, they get very mad and all upset if you try to read there mail is it? I am getting ready to go to agility with my mom also, a soon the weather gets a little bit warmer, she don't like to be running outside when is 10 degrees, I love it the colder the better ! I can wait to start is should be fun, but I am sad because Tilly will not be able to join me, she is to young, but next year we are going to be a team ! Anyway enjoy your agility and have fun for me Camille |
Tiggy, you are such a silly girl keeping your Mum on her toes like you do. Thank goodness you get to go back to your agility class! Those other dogs must be bored to tears without you. |
You go, gerlfriend! Kristine |
