My Breeder passed away!
If anyone has information regarding John Dieter please let me know. I am sorry for posting this terrible news. I am very saddened for the family. I have done some searches on the internet and sent some emails to family members.... I am hoping that someone can reach out to me. Does anyone know him? Is anyone expecting a puppy soon from him? I don't know what else to do.... Thank you. |

| Sorry to hear this. This is a tough situation. On top of what you go through during your normal day, now you have to play detective here and track down your puppy. While we feel sorry for the family there are a bunch of pups that need attention. Let me know if there is any way I can be of assitance but like Ron said, call the funeral homes in the area and try to get some contact info. Someone has to be looking out for the dogs. |
| Since all of the pups had homes picked by him I assume that there are contracts and such that both parties would have copies of. It may be that the family does not know where the contracts are or haven't thought that far ahead given the unexpected events. If you don't get any headway via phone you might want to look for associates of his. Did he show, or train his pups that others out there might know him and his family personally. I am sure someone is looking after the pups but this must be a very anxious time for you. Is he far from you or could you make the drive? |

If he was from Iowa this is his Obit. http://www.legacy.com/obituaries/cedarv ... =148339748 In the Obit it does mention he passed with his beloved Old English Sheepdogs at his side. If this is him you can contact the Undertaker like ron suggested. |
| Hi everyone, Thank you for your help and advice. I have just heard from the breeder's sister..... she lives down the street and helps with the puppies. She has a lot on her plate at the moment, but, she is working through which puppy belongs to which family etc. and the paperwork.... lots and lots of paperwork!!! I can breathe now and I will see my little girl next week!!!! By the way, I have named her Dahlia Rose. I can't wait to have her in my arms and the smell of puppy breath and little kisses at my face. |

| What a sad situation. The breeder had an amazing life journey, and so sad he passed on so young. Happy to hear the family is working with you, and I know the love the breeder has instilled in the puppy will soon warm your heart.  Good luck, and please give us an update when the puppy arrives. |
| The puppy is here and the family has been wonderful during a very rough and sad time. We were able to get her last Friday. Her name is Dahlia Rose. I have posted pics! She is beautiful, friendly, smart and confident! She obviously was loved and socialized a lot! |
