I know there have been quite a few threads on this-- here's the most recent one: http://forum.oes.org/viewtopic.php?t=2529
There was also a link to a Web site that offered a few suggestions to get some of the stain out in one of the other threads but I don't remember off hand.

For the most part, from my experience, it's just something that you'll get used to. Clyde only eats dry food and his beard is still discolored. When I want to lessen the stain a bit, I just use a little Woolite and let it sit on the stain (not his skin) while I finish washing the rest of him. I've never been able to get rid of it completely!
Can also keep the beard shorter. Both of my previous OESs had this too....in fact, take a look at the dog shows.....you'll see some discolored beards.
I keep Max's mouth all trimed up to help with the discoloration. I have my groomer keep the length on the bottom of his mouth at just about 2 inches, then if I don't get back to the groomer, I trim my self. I have no plans to show him, so it works for me. Plus it also depends on how much of a drooler your dog is.
Here's some homemade remedies for whitening the beard.

Some popular homemade remedies include-

1) mix equal parts of hydrogen peroxide ( 3%) with milk of magnesia and apply liberally to the stained area. Let dry. Wash thoroughly and follow with conditioner. Repeat as needed.

2)Mix equal amounts of Milk of Magnesia, and hydrogen peroxide 3% ( medicinal strength) and then add corn starch to make a paste; work well into the stained area and let dry overnight. Brush out. Wash then Condition. Do this daily or every other day until staining is gone. Some people choose to use 20-40 volume peroxide ( hair bleach strength). Though this does achieve faster results it is MUCH harsher.

3) 3% Peroxide (medicinal strength) & coat dressing such as Crown Royale Magic Touch. Mix equal amounts. Just make a small amount at a time and store in a tightly closed bottle. Saturate the area using a cotton ball. Let dry, wash out and follow with conditioner. Use daily till desired results are achieved.
All of them have some staining, and most of us feed kibble only, not wet food. Each dog is different though in how dark or how much staining there is. It depends on the ph level of the dogs saliva. My girl Dancer never has very much staining around her mouth, and none near her eyes, but Sky has quit a bit of beard staining, as well as eye staining. I haven't been successful at all in removing it.
You could do what I did.....die your entire dog black.

Just kidding.
Josh, is that a part of new member initiation?
