No. It's not supposed to be wobbly. Even for a big dog like a Mastiff. Suggest you ask them if they can shore it up somehow. Dog walks will vary some and some will have more bounce or give than others, but ideally there should be little to none, and you especially don't want to scare the hair off a green dog... There are usually ways to correct for wobbliness, with a little ingenuity. Has anyone else commented on it? Or do they all run small dogs? Kristine |
I think our class is the first extra-large dog class she's had in a while. I don't know if she even realized how wobbly it was until Kendra got up there. She's 125 lbs and still growing. It wasn't even raised to the full height, so she raise it any higher. Once it was all the way up, Ecco, my sheepie, got it to wobbling and a few assistants had to hold it steady. Maybe she's just now realizing that it's time for a new one. |
Yes, as Kristine said - it may bounce a little, but in no way should it feel or look unsafe. Pretty hard to train and build confidence in the dog when it is on obviously unsafe equipment! I hope this gets resolved. If it isn't fixed ASAP, I would not use it. All you need is one bad experience to frighten your dog so they are emotionally scared of it, or even worse that they may get hurt. |
