It could be anything... dogs can develop allergies to food or environment even when they had been perfectly fine before. Probably time for a trip to the vet to help both you and your dog find relief. Hoping you'll find the cause of the itching so it can be cured/prevented. |
Yeah, the vet is the first stop. Skin scraping. Full blood work up (thinking thyroid). Then read the contents of the dog food........is it chicken, soy, beef, corn, wheat? Then work at excluding one item for awhile then try another. Also add an oil capsule to her diet.....fish oil. Poor baby must be miserable. |
Sam is going thru the same thing right now! It actually started last winter and hasn't really stopped. The vet says that since he's a puppy (15 mo) we can't start allergy testing until SPRING!!!! Does this make sense to anyone??? Poor baby developed a heat spot (is that the right term?) and is miserable. We're switching his food again to a grain free hoping that will help. I also want to switch household cleaners. Any suggestions as to a good hardwood floor cleaner that's puppy friendly? |
The best floor cleaner that is all natural is vinegar and water. |
Have you checked her ears? Could be a yeast infection in the ear canal. |
