Panda in an Ice Cream Commercial?
Take for example, the day I went to get the boys pics taken at Christmas time at the local pet food store. I got out of a car when a car pulled up in the parking lot and this woman introduces herself as an agent for animals in movies and commercials. She wanted to have Merlin and Panda as her clients!! Her name kept bouncing around in my head during the holidays as I knew I had heard it before. Assuming it was because she's often in the newspapers I thought it was perhaps that. Then it dawned on me...it was Shaggy's doggie obedience trainer from 16 years previously!!!! I emailed her and wrote about how Shaggy had failed miserably at her previous obedience courses until I signed her up with Bonnie's class. I've even wrote about this wonderful woman on here, saying her gentleness made a huge difference in Shaggy's life. Shaggy went on from being horribly behaved to a wonderful well behaved dog after Bonnie's class. Bonnie thanked me for her kind note and said it made her Christmas. Back to the present, I just recieved mail from her saying she needs a big shaggy dog for an ice cream commercial and could one or both my dogs try out? Egads!!! NOOOOO Merlin has just got a short clip recently so not shaggy any longer , while Panda's hair is growing out but he's sorta shaggy looking. Panda is the better behaved one anyhow and can sit for long periods even with tons of kids running around which is the requirement. Merlin couldn't have managed that as he would have been too distracted. Crossing my fingers that the commercial people would find Panda suitable. That would be so cool!!!   (Should have a sheepie icon in shades I'm thinking)

| Who is the promotion for? Will we see it through out Canada, I've never seen the paint comercial...so I don't want to miss this one.

That would be so cool if he gets it. My Mom was stopped with our OES Daisy when I was a kid. They wanted to put her in a dog food commercial. My Mom was so excited. She made sure she didn't feed her that morning so she would be hungry and eat the food...since that is what they wanted in the commercial. We no matter what we did Daisy would not touch the food. Oh well... We almost had a famous dog...lol Elissa |

| Hi Everyone!
Panda is still in the running..but hasn't yet been "the chosen one", (Said in hushed tones like they do in the movies)
I'm still crossing my fingers that he will be the final one selected. (not sure how many they had or how the process works...just know we want the call!!! Right now, no news is good news as it means he hasn't been eliminated from the first round which is looking at his photos. Next would be a call back and audition. I'm confident he'd do great (can't say the same if it had been Merlin.) Merlin would eat the ice cream and create havoc in the studio. Panda is just super calm and will sit regardless of what's going on around him. Until then it's a matter of wait and see.
