Any bakers out there with any ideas as to why the poppyseeds are falling? I know that it seems trivial, but if she doesn't have a poppyseed cake for the family, she really will be upset. Help! |

I've never made a poppyseed cake, but I've read that if you are dding nuts or fruit to a cake batter, toss the nuts or fruit in a little flour and that is supposed to keep them from falling. Good luck to your mom. Let us know if she gets a successful cake. |
are they fresh? the only thing I can think of is that the poppyseeds are older and therefore some chemical thingy in the whatchamacallit isn't working correctly with the whositwhatsit and it's making the seeds fall? Just an idea... |
