I love White Christmas with Bing Crosby...2 yr old grandaughter loves it too...she loves any movie with singing and dancing! I think that's why she loves Mary Poppins and Annie. She seems to really appreciate good music...I have to play Celine Dion disc anytime I take her somewhere in my car and she sings along! |
The Christmas Story is the movie I hate more than any other out there. Just hearing it mentioned or seeing a preview makes me cringe!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The 24 hr marathons they do every year need to stOP!!! Other than that, I love pretty much all the Christmas movies!! New and old. |
I know it will not win any awards, but its silly and makes me laugh... ELF. "Santa! I know him!" peg |
Not technically a movie, but "A Charlie Brown Christmas" is my favorite. Followed by "White Christmas" and "A Christmas Story." I also love "The Nutcracker" but it's not shown every year. |
I love Elf and A Charlie Brown Christmas. My all-time favorite is A Muppet Christmas Carol though. Not the re-made one, the old one. I still dig out the VCR and video tape every Christmas just to watch it. |
How can any movie compete with "It's a Wonderful Life". |
My husband adores "its a wonderful life". I'd never seen it until the last ten years or so. However, I do have cocktail napkins that say.."everytime you leave a red bull and vodka for Santa, an angel gets its wings" I guess thats why jolly Santa can make it around the world in one night!! |
Although "Scrooged" with Bill Murray was pretty darn good, especially when it first came out! |

A Christmas Story (Sorry Mrs. J) It's A Wonderful Life A Christmas Carol (I like the version with Patrick Stewart) Miracle on 34th Street Love Actually (for a more recent one.) |
National Lampoon Christmas Vacation. |
I have an embarrassing fondness for "The Santa Clause" We've also been re-watching all of the Dr Who Christmas episodes . |
Growing up every year we'd watch "Scrooge", the 1970 musical with Albert Finney, every year. It always makes me cry to watch it now, but I have to see it every year. It was on Turner Classics last week, and I don't think I've seen it aired on television in a really long time. |
