Kristine Tiggy thinks its her job to sit on me, she must know I'm supposed to rest and figures the best way to ensure that, is to pin me down. Rastus just wants the couch and is p'd off because I wont share. |

Glad you're on your road to recovery Mim---feel better soon!!!!! : |
Welcome to the world of recuperation! A pretty boring place to be, for sure, but a necessary evil (or so I'm told). Enjoy the down time, and just concentrate on healing to be somewhat mobile by Christmas! |
So glad you are on the mend...MIM......As long as you are confined to the couch...now, when you have your evening drinks..have an extra one or two...you DESERVE it!!! I am glad Tiggy knows that MOM should not get up!!! That Tiggy!!! She is so smart!!! |

^^^^^^^^^^ I'm thinking I might even wash it today. Just not looking forward to having to stand up on one leg long enough to get it dry. |
Mim wrote: ^^^^^^^^^^ I'm thinking I might even wash it today. Just not looking forward to having to stand up on one leg long enough to get it dry. LOL.....surely you have chairs in upside down land??? Take a seat! But I'd do it even if I had to stand. Getting a shampoo will make you feel so much better |
I'm not supposed to sit with my hips at 90 degree angle I have to lean back and slouch, my low back ain't happy . So with such long hair that means stand up to dry it. Usually I tip my head upside down but that's completely not an option for 4 weeks minimum. |

At the hospital for our hip patients we had the nice reclining w/c's, so we could remove the upper head support section and let the hair be dried while in a reclining sitting position. Made for a tired neck, but so worth it! |
I recomend good drugs. Hope you feel better fast...or at least human. |

Glad you are doing well! |
I am just reading is thread now. I was on a ship for a week with NO Internet. Ack! I am so glad you are starting to feel better! As a veteran of many surgeries, I feel for you. Each day will get a little better. Good job Tiggy! Keep Mama down! |
Yeesh, if I had known that you were just sitting around recovering, I would have sent you all of my Christmas cards to address! Or all of those photos in shoeboxes could be put into photo albums. I could keep you very busy and make your convalescence fly by! Try hard to obey doctor's orders and get better soon. (that is me making you tea) |

(that is me making you tea) Bwahahahah I just posted in members about you addressing envelopes. I do it the old fashioned way too. Would have been easy, peasy. Mind you by the time you sent them here and I sent them back it would have been easter. After reading your post about David's card phobia I am even more tempted to join the list next year. Custom made cards have not really taken off here and I've always worried about the expense for everyone sending cards to Aus but maybe next year I'll join the list and you'll all just have to put up with dodgey Aussie cards. PS when are you coming down under?? The bet is still on. And thanks for the tea very nice. I've moved on to a nice Sav Blanc from the Marlborough region NZ now. |

You silly silly girl, betting a Canadian-I will enjoy that pint. We are saving our pennies-well, what pennies we don't spend on wine. Thinking of New Zealand wine, someone at work mentioned a wine by someone named Kim something or other. I will have to look for that one. We enjoy Aussie wines, haven't had much from New Zealand. As for the expense of sending cards to Australia, people join the card exchange willingly, so you aren't forcing anyone. You are just worried we would all send you a lump of coal in the shape of a sheepie, I bet! |
Kim Crawford???? Tiggy would eat the coal. |
Mim wrote: Kim Crawford???? Tiggy would eat the coal. Yes, Kim Crawford, that is it. This colleague said it was good. I have no idea what her standards are, though. |
Feel better Mim!!! |
I don't know the wine. This is what the internet says. http://www.snooth.com/wine/kim-crawford-sauvignon-blanc-2010/ It's fairly cheap so I'm guessing it's ok. If you want to try a really nice NZ Sav Blanc then see if you can get Cloudy Bay, mmmmmmm yum. But not cheap here. Oyster Bay is a mid range but even the not so expensive ones I often quite like. |

OK, you MADE me pop the cork on a bottle I started a couple days ago (I have a vacuum sealer cork that keeps it pretty darn good). Local stuff and one we'll get again. A family that the kids went to school with had this long range plan and dream to have a vineyard and open a winery. They opened up last year, and it has been well received. Indian Island Winery is the name, and it's just 5 miles from my house!!! http://www.indianislandwinery.com The bottle I'm enjoying is Frontenac Rose'....and going very well with my dark chocolate covered pretzels.... Oh, and we are snowed in again.....7 more inches today! |

Ron wrote: Gotta have some Roo's Leap! I've never seen it! I'll have to keep a look out. Shame there's a limit at customs on wine. I'll have drank it all before I get to the party. |
LOL Buy some Roo's Leap |
