She was out there for 2 hours and came back with snow and ice balls all over her feet and between her toes. What's the best way to clean snow and ice up? Sorry, we don't have pictures. Smart getting that "no pictures" diclaimer in there right away! It will help to trim out all the hair from her feet - between the toes and pads. (on the bottom) Ice balls in there are painful and they will gnaw at them and can cause pad injuries from the chewing and pulling. The rest of her can just thaw and dry out. |
The only way I found to help the snowball effect was to use a dryer when they come in...At least dry the feet area and the leg area where most of thos snow/ice balls seem to accumulate. Gotta love the winter. huh! |
I throw Oscar in the tub and rinse the frozen parts down with lukewarm water. Melts the snowballs in seconds. If I have time, I blow dry him, but if not, I just towel dry him. Laurie and Oscar |
