Round 2 of winter has already started
This one is predicted to last until Thursday. Snow fall amounts will probably top 2 feet. This will be a walk in the park compared to last week. |

| It's coming down pretty good tonight. We're probably up to about 18 inches since it started Monday night/Tuesday morning. I wouldn't be surprised if this round brings us 2 to 2.5 feet. |
| My part of the world (SE MN) got 16 inches in 24 hrs; 26 inches (depending on your exact location) for storm total--maybe 36 hrs, total. We get lots of wind, too, creating huge drifts and white out conditions. My driveway had 24 inches or better..... I am hoping the next round (2-4 inches, trivial in comparison) misses us as I don't feel like dealing with any more snow this week. |
| Mark, how the heck do you live with all that snow! We had a small accululation, about three inches, and everyone was late for work, etc...Now they are calling for a Bigger storm this weekend...but biger storm to us is NOTHING compared to what you have had! Last year about this time we did have two feet of snow...hoping that doesn't happen with this storm coming... Stay safe and warm... |
| Ashley, The folks around here are equipped to handle it. So many pick-ups & SUVs with plows, every other or every third household has a snowblower. Our road crews have the best of the proper equipment and enough of it, the road crews have enough well trained people, the folks that manage the road crews really know what they're doing (years of experience). 600,000 tons of rock salt. Strong backs and strong will. |
