Puppy Gas Questions

Hello all.

I've been lurking, but haven't posted in ages.

I have an embaressing and slightly off color question for everyone, but I'm sure you are all used to it :D . Tucker is 8 months old now and doing well (I need to put some new pictures up), but recently he has been very gassy after eating. He is on the same food he has been his entire life (Blue Buffalo Large Breed Puppy) and eats using a Contech Eat Better bowl, but the past few weeks he has been letting them rip a little bit after eating. He would usually get some pumpkin or green beans with his meal and a little yogurt in the morning, but I've been eliminating them as we go to see if it was a food causing it. Now he is just eating the kibble that has been left to soak for a few minutes. The farting continues. They do not smell, thankfully, but since I am paranoid about bloat etc, I wanted to seek advice.

Has anyone had a suddenly gassy puppy? Do you think I should change foods or try the cookie sheet method to see if I can slow him down more? Is it OK if he is a little gassy? I bow to your wisdom...

Thanks in advance for any advice.

I am a fanatic about the worry of bloat. But I think passing gas is a good thing  However, I would allow him to rest after eating before exercising and if he seems uncomfortable and super gassy, perhaps a food change is in order. I also give a gas x if the gas is excessive. The green beans may be the culpriot as beans in general are gassy - even for humans. Curious what others think...
We don't get him going or let him have water for an hour after he eats. He'll only run a bit if he does a post-poopy spazz out, but we stop him quick. The beans were the first thing we cut out, so I don't think it was them.

I'm not sure he is uncomfortable. I'll watch him a bit more next time he eats.
As they grow their digestion changes. It may be time to transition to adult food. That changeover should take a month or so. Could be he's growing resistant to some in the the Blue Diamond line. You'll have to play it by ear....and nose.

My first sheepie could not tolerate soy products........Miss Gas Attack!! She could empty a room. MO can not tolerate any grains.

Gas and burping are good signs, the excess gas is finding a way out.
Ryleigh is 11 months old and also on the Blue Buffalo Large Breed Puppy food. She gets her food dry and by itself. She has been pretty gassy lately too. But hers SMELL!
Its really bad when shes sitting with you on the couch or at night laying in bed with her bottom facing you. She doesnt act like her tummy hurts, in fact after she lets one go she seems to smile. I think it is a natural thing, just a smelly one. But I will probably start changing her food over to adult in the next month or two.
