Snow Eating = Upset Stomach?
Lately, with the recent snow fall, Wendel is obsessed with snow-eating. While Leviand Asterisk are wrestling in the snow, Wendel is chowing down. As you all know, Wendel LOVES to eat. This morning he ate half his food and has been puking a bit. Would snow upset his tummy? |

This happened with Ecco. I have put her on a probiotic and that seems to be helping. I think now that the snow is 8 inches deep, she has also decided she can't possibly eat it all.  |
There was just another post about this snow eating...I think the coldness of the snow can upset their stomach. Let me know if you figure out how to keep them from eating it...  |

| Poor Wendel ended up not being sick from the snow afterall. Poor guy somehow (I have NO idea how) ingested a peach pit and it had a hard time coming out. He spent a day at the vet before he started dancing in his cage. Sure enough, within minutes the peach pit was passed. Now of course Wendel is back to his loving, this-is-my-mommy-Asterisk-and-Levi-so-back-off-! self. |
