Once I got 'em on, I took her straight outside for a short walk around the block and she was trotting around like a crazy goof dog. She tripped over her front paws a few times and tried to take them off to no avail...! Clumsy kid. I felt AWFUL for giggling but it was too funny!! Have any of you had similar first-time experiences with your sheepies wearing Muttluks? Does it get better? She's only four months old but we need to start early to get her ready for Canadian winters! Giggggggggles!!! |

Need pictures. |
definitely need pics! |
Nelson has a brand new set of Muttluks, I attempted to put one on and gave up. He never really saw the need for them and that was about two years ago. Something else that needs to go on eBay. |
I've seen dogs on TV that do the crazy walk and ROTF. If consistent they will get used to them. |
Both of ours wear boots in the winter. We are crazy enough to walk all year around. They wear them mostly to protect their feet from salt and chemicals people put out to melt ice. Oliver and Lucy always look funny when we initially put them on, but once we get outside they walk normally. Like previously mentioned, consistancy is key! |

When she gets older or used to the boots, she will do just fine and walk like she didn't notice them! |
Heheh, need to se pics ! I have also seen it on TV, funny walk, but I think she'll get used to them. |
Thanks so much for all your replies! I'm happy to say that Mika is now a proficient, nay professional (!) Muttluks-wearing pup... we frolicked in the snow for hours on the weekend and that did the trick! Practice makes perfect... but it's still HILARIOUS! She looks like a fluffy racehorse in leg warmers! Hehehehehe. |
